Equipment lineage
ALICE stands for All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment, a U.S. military load-carrying system adopted in 1973. Its field-pack suspension used serviceable frame, shoulder-harness and waist-support components that could be repaired or replaced separately.
This AKMAX product is a newly manufactured commercial replacement configuration for compatible ALICE-style equipment. It is not original government issue, military surplus, proof of military adoption or a certified government-contract component.
