MOLLE Tactical Assault Panel — Lightweight Chest Rig (TAP)
A commercial TAP-style modular chest panel supplied with an adjustable harness for standalone wear and configurable pouch placement.
Equipment Lineage: TAP and FLC
The U.S. Army states that the Tactical Assault Panel was designed and fielded in 2010 as an improvement over the Fighting Load Carrier. The TAP could carry the MOLLE basic fighting-load pouches, connect to and release from the IOTV, and also use a harness for wear without body armor.
