This medium-format system includes the rucksack body, aluminum external frame, shoulder straps, hip belt and attachment hardware. It provides the classic ALICE pocket layout and replaceable frame-and-harness structure in a more compact format than the AKMAX ALICE Large 75L.
Equipment lineage
ALICE stands for All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment. The U.S. military adopted the ALICE system in 1973 as an all-environment load-carrying system organized around fighting-load and existence-load components. The Medium Field Pack became one of the system’s best-known configurations, using three exterior pockets and supporting use with an external frame when greater load structure was required.
Commercial-product notice: This is a new AKMAX-manufactured commercial product based on the ALICE design lineage. It is not original U.S. government issue, military surplus, or evidence of current adoption by any government agency. “50L” is AKMAX’s approximate commercial capacity designation rather than an original government model name.
